Austin is a doe-eyed little boy who fiercely loves cars, storybooks and his grandma. He is also a boy whose mother won't ever watch any of his sports games, see him clutch his high school diploma or be seated at his wedding. You see, Austin's mom, Catherine, died of a drug overdose a year ago.
Austin is a little famous for jumping into his grandma's Facebook Live with us back in September. His grandma, Corsicana Police Officer Rose Clark, was describing her daughter's struggle with the drugs that ultimately took her life when DPR's Facebook feed suddenly grew lighter as Austin's presence softened the sorrow. Rose and her wife are completely committed to raising this adorable boy, but it shouldn't be this way. With your help, we can prevent other children from ever knowing the trauma of addiction, With your help, we can create a drug-free generation.
